CityIce is ideally situated and completely equipped to be your Pacific Northwest transload and storage center for frozen foods.
We're located on Terminal 91 at the Port of Seattle, the closest deep water port to Alaska and Pacific Rim countries. Since we're also right next to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Balmer Classification Yard, we can transport your refrigerated cargo quickly and efficiently between rail cars and ocean containers, speeding it on its way to your customers.
Exports
CityIce has 6 million cubic feet of cold storage space right on site. So, if your export cargo needs refrigerated storage, it can be placed safely in storage at temperatures to -20?F, allowing you to avoid expensive rail demurrage costs and ensure delivery to your customer in top quality condition.
Our cold storage also enables you to better serve your customers by keeping an inventory in Seattle, close to important overseas markets, ready to be shipped "Just in Time." If needed, we can consolidate your smaller shipments into more economical, full container loads.
Imports
CityIce is a U.S. Customs Bonded Container Freight Station. This designation allows us to receive your "CFS" cargo directly from an ocean carrier's container and speeding it on its way to your customers. If not needed right away, your product can be put into cold storage for later distribution.
